This is a fantastic documentary for us gardeners!

How are you doing? I hope you are finding time to connect with your garden, to find peace and solace during these times of turbulence.

I was inspired earlier in the week to share a bit about this incredible story of Pearl Fryer, a man of color, who I regard as one of the great American Gardeners of our time.

Years ago, maybe 2007, I saw this documentary that the Garden Conservancy was honoring. It's a film about a man who created a magical world within his garden, and beyond. I was so in love with his story that I recalling buying no less than 4 or 6 copies of the DVD to gift to friends, encouraging them to pass it on once they've watched it. I believe that the magic that Pearl creates within his garden shines through the film, to penetrate deep into our hearts. If you haven't seen it, I encourage you to do so. You can watch it on Netflix, or rent through Apple or Amazon. It's definitely worth it! Let me know how you liked it. I'd love to hear from you : )

I appreciate his story. I especially love that he practices IPM within his garden, hardly using pesticides at all, if any. Remarkable! What a haven he has created. I hope to visit his garden someday. It's on my list for sure!

Take good care and stay well!
